I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving, and really took the time to be thankful for everything and especially everyONE you have in your lives.
Today, while I was on a stroll through one of my favorite new (well new to me) blogs, Making It Lovely, I came to one of her recent posts about her bathroom makeover and I fell in love! How awesomely amazing does this look? The green tub, black and white polka dot shower curtain, and brass stool with the original hex floor tiles! I LOVE LOVE LOVE this that I had to share it with you. See what a little styling can do to make it so beautiful without doing a massive overhaul...please check out her blog, it is absolutely adorable.

KIDS DECOR LINES AIN'T JUST FOR KIDS
There are so many children/kid/teen lines out there now from some of our favorite home decor catalogs/stores. But the thing is, they are so much more than just kids lines, there are many products that you can have in your home that you don't have to have children to use, and if you do have children these items don't need to be regulated to only their rooms. Some of them have the benefit of being a cheaper option than their "adult" home decor, with some still having a somewhat heavy price tag, but with that said it's still opens up some more options for you. Remember to click on the captions to be directed directly to that particular item.
RESTORATION HARDWARE BABY AND CHILD
Restoration Hardware is by far my favorite. Rustic, Industrial, Modern, Traditional. I just love them. They also have a unique style and high quality about them that makes you feel like you're not buying from a big box catalog store. In a competition between them and Pottery Barn, Resto will always win. That's not to knock you down for liking Pottery Barn, it's just not my jam.
This tufted daybed is AMAZING! Imagine snuggling up in that for a nap. I think it's perfect for a guest room/office/den or if you had an all season sun room it would be great in there as well. Ahhh dreamy.
The Collette is a beautiful, French inspired, tufted headboard and at a pretty decent price especially for something from Resto. And it comes in queen! Those of you that are so lucky enough to have a king size bed I guess will be missing out, but those of us not so lucky queen sleeping people could have this beautiful headboard. It would be great in a traditional or shabby chic room, but even more fabulous in a modern/vintage eclectic bedroom.
Now lets add some cushion under your feet...this rug is so vintage looking and even better its a deep navy. This could go in any room.
This sheepskin rug is on top of my wish list. I love the idea of it draped over a desk chair; make those hours of sitting in front of the computer a little more comfy and stylish. There are definitely more affordable options, like the very popular Ikea Faux Sheepskin, which is the same size as this, and only 9.99. I think that will be my "untill" purchase, til I feel like splurging on the real thing, which to tell you the truth is still 100 bucks well spent.
Love me some industrial storage that could go anywhere!
Always check out the lighting section of any of your favorite home decor catalog stores kids line, there usually are some great options and sometimes they will be less expensive than their regular line. The antiqued wishbone sconce would look perfect in a vintage style bathroom, or flanking a fireplace.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE this trunk. The Antiqued brass! Would be perfect at the end of a bed, as a coffee table for a living room...
LAND OF NOD FROM CRATE AND BARREL
Land of Nod is a great option for decor and accessories. They are also on the more affordable end which is always a plus. Their best is probably lighting, they have a lot of options that can be used in any part of the house.
If you know me well enough my favs above are number 1 and 2...gold of course! You also can never go wrong with a drum shade (3), they are so versatile.
You can never go wrong with stripes, in any room! Sick of chevron? Stripes with always be classic.
The Magnetic magazine pockets are great! Reminds me of something you would find at The Container Store. I'd love to put one by my front door, a great place to stash the mail when you walk in.
POTTERY BARN TEEN
Because PB does a teen (teens are technically almost adults) line they are able to give you some options that can easily transfer to adult rooms of the home (it seems that most of their beds do come in queen). Though my favorites from them were their desk/office furniture.
How awesome is the Bradley Funnel Pendant (1), so surprised to find it at PBTeen. It looks like a handcrafted light you would found through an artisan on Etsy. Love it. Wouldn't two or three of them look soooo good over a kitchen island (keep in mind they are sold individually, even though the picture makes them look like its a fixture of two). Even number (3) is pretty great and not a bad deal, orb pendants are pretty popular right now, though I do have confidence in my readers that they could tackle that as a DIY project. And number (2) is just classic, whether you leave it empty or fill it with something decorative as they did above, you can't go wrong.
I love these desks! I really really want the second one, it has just enough storage and still stays stylish and those open cubby slots on either side - what a perfect place to slide your laptop in! As someone who doesn't have a room designated for an office where you can leave it messy cause you can close the door behind you, these desks are really perfect. For anyone that must put a desk in their living space these work really well because they can fit in nicely with a decorated space. They are also airy so not as much visual space is taken up unlike with a traditional office desk that tend to be more chunky.
Now that we've seen a couple desks, it's onto desk chairs. You can't beat the popular reproduction/interpretation of the classic and vintage Toledo chair (3). It does have a hefty price so I would first take a look at some antique stores or Craigslist and see if you can find a true Toledo original. The acrylic chair (there are other variations out there) is great for a small room where you have limited space, the fact that it's see through saves visual space. The faux leather chair (1) is my least favorite but still an option, I like that they tried to make the leather worn, nothing is worse than tight, shiny and rubbery looking leather or faux leather in this case.
I'm a fan of this rug. Very neutral and can go anywhere. I could see it in a dining room, under a rustic table or industrial table, maybe made from reclaimed or unstained wood.
So those are my finds. Remember to keep in mind when shopping in the children's lines, particularly when it comes to furniture pieces like chairs/sofas/lounge chairs and some desks that most likely they are made to fit kids and may not fit you. The PBteen line seems to avoid that because teens are pretty close to adult size.

ARCADIAN HOME GUEST BLOG POST
Hi, my name is Joanna, and I am a writer for Arcadian Home—the place for great home decor and lighting trends online. I love my work. I spend my days scouring the web for the most beautiful decorating ideas and interior designs. Hope you enjoy the collection I brought you today!
While turquoise and red have long been associated with a certain kitschy style, today, this color combination can be found in modern to traditional rooms as well. The trend for turquoise has been going strong for quite some time and doesn’t appear to be going out of fashion anytime soon. Here are a few of our favorite rooms in this fun and vibrant combination.
A delightful red and white chandelier hangs above a turquoise dining room giving the rather stately room a flamboyant feel.
One of my favorite turquoise and red rooms is this lovely traditional one painted and papered in bright blue with a big splash of red on the modern sofa. Other modern furnishings relax the classic lines of wide molding and high ceilings.
A retro dining room boasts both red and turquoise for a cheery look. The floral ceiling light adds a whimsical touch.
Such fun! An unusual built-in bed in white is topped with a turquoise wall, red and white fabric covered headboard and flanked by shelves on either side.
A twin bedroom in turquoise and red floral looks inviting with its tall upholstered headboards and houndstooth-covered footstools.
A bachelor pad grows up with refined red dining chairs and turquoise artwork. The sleekness of the modern kitchen plays off of the rustic appearance of the table.
A red-papered room hosts a gorgeous French desk and two twin beds in turquoise. The ambient light from the windows and the modern lighting fixture above beautifully illuminate the space and its appealing color palette.
We cheated on this one just a bit. Black and turquoise play host to just a touch of red in this striking bedroom. How fun to wake up to such crisp colors every morning! Images: 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6 | 7 | 8

NATE BERKUS @ TARGET
I HATE BLOGGER RIGHT NOW...SORRY FOR THE UNORGANIZED AND MESSY LOOKING POST, SOMETHING IS WRONG WITH BLOGGER AND IT IS MAKING IT VERY DIFFICULT TO WRITE A POST AT ALL - THE CURSOR LITERALLY HAS A MIND OF ITS OWN - I REALLY HOPE GOOGLE FIXES IT ASAP (sorry for my rant)
Nate Berkus' new home decor line has arrived at Target! I had been waiting what feels like so long till it was here, that I honestly completely forgot about it. I believe its been out a couple weeks and I've heard that some stores may be late in actually carrying the items. But I was up in Orono Maine this weekend a took a little trip to the Target in Bangor to see if they had the line in. And they did! So I took out my handy, but not great photograph resulting, IPhone and snapped some pics of my favorites...
