Well at least new to me. I love Restoration Hardware, but I haven't been perusing their website or catalogs lately. I desperately want that mirror and the camel back sofa is so classy.

Two days later it still seems surreal. Sending love out to the victims and their families. Never ending thanks to all service persons, first responders, civilians, volunteers who without a thought went towards the explosions to help. I LOVE MY BOSTON

IKEA DESK HACK PREVIEW

But at $1247.00, no way is that a possibility. So I bought this...

I am painting the top white, and will be spray painting the saw horse legs gold...right now the top has one coat of paint on the bottom, so I still have a ways to go and since I am using oil paint (which I am currently infatuated with) it has a much longer drying time than latex, so maybe next week I will be able to give you an official run down of the process and results. I hope it turns out as good as I imagine in my head.

HIGH GLOSS AND LACQUERED WALLS!

High gloss walls...It seems you either love them or you hate them. I happen to love them right now and would like implement them in our living room on one accent wall. Our living room/dining/kitchen is pretty small so I don't know if I would want to have every wall high gloss, I think in our space it might be too much. But there is a small nook behind the sofa that is carved out for a dining table, which we never use, so I am currently working on a desk (which hopefully I can finish painting soon so I can share it with you) and making that nook a little office for myself, the high gloss wall would be the back drop for the desk and make it feel like its own little spot.
